HYPERBARIC MEDICINE - OXYGENATION THERAPY

VITALBARIC

About Us

At VitalBaric, we focus on the treatment of various pathologies, through Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy involves breathing 100% pure oxygen in a pressurized environment, called hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber.

It is a non-invasive treatment, no medicine or drug is injected ,nor suministrated to the patient.

It is performed independently or complementary to other treatments.

¿What is an Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber?

The Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber is a special chamber that let us breathe in pure oxygen in air pressure levels higher than average. The goal is to fill the blood with enough oxygen increasing the concentration and availability of this gas in the blood plasma.

FAQS

How does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy works?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive medical treatment. Patient enters an Hyperbaric Chamber pressurized at 1,45 ATM , a level higher than the average we breath in.

This extra oxygen is provided through a mask and generates a strong hyperoxia.
Hyperoxia produces positive physiological effects at different levels and in different tissues simultaneously.

Which are Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy applications?

Due to its therapeutic physiological effects, Hyperbaric Oxygenation Treatment is indicated in all pathologies that occur with pain and inflammation. Among its main effects: it speeds up rehabilitation times and promotes wound healing.

How long does it take an Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session and what can I do meanwhile?

The session lasts approximately 60 minutes. Both number of sessions and frequency are stablished due to pathology and set by an M.D through appointment.
While breathing oxygen through the mask, you can read or listen to music, or only rest!

Physiological Effects

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy generates a considerable increase in oxygen levels in blood and tissues. Its physiological effects are:

  • Non-hypoxemic vasoconstriction
  • Angiogenesis and Vasculogenesis
  • Proliferation and stimulation of stem cells
  • Stimulation of collagen synthesis
  • Regulates oxidative stress and inflammatory response
  • Stimulates axonal and peripheral regeneration (nervous system cell regeneration)
  • Increases neuronal function and neuroprotection
  • Bactericidal activity
  • Promotes cellular immunity
